We are excited to introduce Dr. Emily K. Drake, a prominent cancer researcher and advocate for adolescent and young adult (AYA) cancer patients, as our next oncoinfluencer.
Emily Drake is active on X/Twitter and LinkedIn, where she shares valuable insights on cancer research, advocacy, and the unique challenges faced by young cancer patients. As a co-founder of the Adolescent and Young Adult Cancer Societal Movement (#AYACSM), Emily has been a driving force in reshaping the dialogue around AYA cancer care since 2013. She currently lives in Halifax, where she runs her own consulting business (EmilyDrake.ca) and is pursuing her PhD in Health at Dalhousie University.

About Emily Drake
Emily is a Killam Laureate, a Healthy Populations Institute scholar, and a trainee with the Beatrice Hunter Cancer Research Institute’s Cancer Research Training Program. Previously, she served as the Director of the young adult cancer support program with Hope & Cope at the Jewish General Hospital/McGill University, providing both in-person and digital support services to young patients navigating cancer.
