Claire Wakefield shared a post by Australian International Development Network on LinkedIn, adding:

“There’s no better way to spend a Thursday night than to learn more about the incredible work of the C4 consortium, which is working tirelessly to eliminate cervical cancer across the Western Pacific. Hugely honoured to be speaking alongside wonderful colleagues and friends from Timor Leste. Please join us if you can!”

Quoting Australian International Development Network’s post:

“Calling all Sydney siders who are passionate about international development, women’s health, and impact in Timor Leste and our region
Australian International Development Network (AIDN) is partnering with the team at C4 to host a special event in Sydney this Thursday evening the 12th of October.
And we’d love you to join us.
The event will spotlight C4’s incredible mission to eliminate cervical cancer in Timor Leste and our region.
Guests will hear from the Minderoo Foundation, whose landmark impact investment in PNG and Vanuatu is ensuring 30,000 women are tested and then treated when needed.
Guests will also learn from the Australians on-the-ground doing this work in partnership with our Pacific neighbours, including the C4 consortium, and explore how small investments have the potential to save the lives of many.

Our speakers will include:
Dr. Merita Monteiro, President of the National Institute of Public Health of Timor-Leste
Claire Wakefield, Minderoo Cancer Impact Mission
Professor Deborah Bateson, The Daffodil Centre, Sydney.”
