Neuroblastoma study identifies mechanisms affecting resistance to chemotherapy – NCI Center for Cancer Research
NCI Center for Cancer Research posted the following on LinkedIn:
“NEW FINDINGS: Neuroblastoma consists primarily of two interconverting subtypes: adrenergic and mesenchymal. This study, which comes from the laboratory of Carol J. Thiele, Ph.D., identifies mechanisms that facilitate lineage plasticity, which may affect resistance to chemotherapy.
Dr. Thiele is the Deputy Chief of the Pediatric Oncology Branch. Her team’s ongoing studies are aimed at understanding epigenetic/chromatin-based mechanisms to re-program and differentiate neuroblastoma tumor cells.”
