Phillip Scheinberg: Honored to step into the role of President of the Society of Hematologic Oncology
Phillip Scheinberg is the Head of Hematology at the Oncology and Hematology Center of BP – Beneficência Portuguesa Hospital in São Paulo, Brazil. Dr. Phillip Scheinberg is specialized in Internal Medicine, Hematology, Oncology, and Bone Marrow Transplantation, with his training and certifications obtained in the United States.
Dr. Scheinberg earned his medical degree from the University of Santo Amaro in São Paulo in 1995 and completed his residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, FL, from 1997 to 2001, where he was the Medical Chief Resident.
He pursued a Hematology/Oncology Fellowship from 2001 to 2005 before joining the Hematology Branch of the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Bethesda, MD, as a staff clinician.
Recently, Dr. Scheinberg was appointed President of the Society of Hematologic Oncology (SOHO).
