Aaron Walton: Together, we can help more kids enjoy a bright future
Aaron Walton, Division Administrator at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Division of Pediatrics, made the following post on LinkedIn:
“September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month! I hope you’ll join me and my colleagues at MD Anderson Children’s Cancer Hospital in raising awareness, advocating for more funding for vital research to improve treatment options and outcomes for our young patients, and supporting the psychosocial needs of this population. Our theme this year is Hearts of Gold, which is the recognized color of awareness for this disease. Cancer remains the number one cause of death by disease in children. Take a look at these facts about Childhood Cancer. Together, we can change that and help more kids enjoy a bright future. Go Gold.
Also, throughout this month, I’ll share some photos of the fun activities we have planned for our patients and their families and remind you about the positive efforts the Pediatrics division at MD Anderson Cancer Center is making in Pediatric Cancer research discoveries and how we’re raising research dollars, thanks to Texas-supported mechanisms, philanthropy, and federal government support.”
