“It is a great honor to receive the 1st place student paper award from the ASA Biopharmaceutical Section, along with a special thanks for the $2,000 cash reward! Presenting my work at JSM provided an incredible opportunity to meet and learn from talented and experienced experts from the FDA, industry, and academia.
I am thrilled to share the paper that enhances the operating characteristics of the BOP2 design when jointly monitoring toxicity and efficacy in phase II trials. We have developed an analytic solution for Type I error calculation that notably improves both accuracy and computational efficiency.
The software is freely available here. To the best of our knowledge, over 50 phase II or I-II trials at MD Anderson Cancer Center are based on BOP2 design. I am deeply grateful to my advisor, Dr. Ying Yuan, for his invaluable guidance, support, and expertise in clinical trial design.”
