The graduating class of the inaugural CancerX Accelerator cohort by Moffitt Cancer Center
Corinne Leach, Acting Director of Digital Innovation Research and Services at Moffitt Cancer Center, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Congratulations to the graduating class of the inaugural CancerX Accelerator cohort and champions who have worked tirelessly over the last several months to make this brand new program a success in meaningful ways to the startups selected.
3 startups had pilots contracted during this first accelerator by Moffitt Cancer Center! Cancer Insights, Navya Care and a 3rd soon to be announced.
Creating this level of value in an accelerator requires:
- focus
- leadership alignment on prioritization of problems to be solved and resource allocations
- people who remind us always of not only a need to keep patients at the forefront of every product but HOW to do that in ways that actually provide value
- clinical operations staff who educate all on what problems are most pressing
- streamlined POC and pilot processes in health systems
- skilled matchmaking by internal clinical and research champions – the right people to the right startup opportunity

- 12% program acceptance rate
