Anya’s 19 for 19: Walking for a cure

“Anya should have been celebrating her 23rd birthday today, but osteosarcoma tragically took her life at just 19 years old.
Anya’s long journey with osteosarcoma sadly began at the young age of 13. After fighting so hard for so long, she knew that she wanted to leave a legacy, so Anya’s Wish was created in her honour.
Anya’s Wish is a dedicated research project at Children’s Cancer Institute focused on developing targeted therapies for children with osteosarcoma. Fully funded by generous donors, Anya’s Wish has now raised over $817k for this very goal.
You can honour Anya’s life by joining her community in Armidale at this year’s 19 for 19 event – a 19km walk across three beautiful properties and finishing at the magnificent Dangar’s Falls, to celebrate the 19 precious years Anya lived for.
