Margaret Foti is the recipient of the 2024 Beacon Award for Women Leaders in Oncology

Established in 2022 by the AIM-HI Accelerator Fund and sponsored by the National Foundation for Cancer Research, The Beacon Award for Women Leaders in Oncology honors exceptional women leaders in health and life sciences. The award specifically acknowledges those who have made significant contributions to advancing cancer treatment, detection, and diagnosis on a global scale.

Margaret Foti, PhD, MD (hc) has been selected as the recipient of the 2024 Beacon Award for Women Leaders in Oncology.

Margaret Foti is the Chief Executive Officer of the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR). Starting her career at AACR as an editorial staff member for the journal Cancer Research, she advanced through various editorial and management positions.

Under her leadership, the AACR launched nine major peer-reviewed journals, including Cancer Discovery and Cancer Immunology Research. Her focused and visionary leadership drives the AACR’s mission to advance cancer research and work towards the prevention and cure of cancer.

The AIM-HI Accelerator Fund is thrilled to announce that Margaret Foti, Ph.D., M.D. (hc), Chief Executive Officer of the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR), is the recipient of the 2024 Beacon Award for Women Leaders in Oncology. Congratulations, Dr. Foti!
