Potential utility of a human liver-on-a-chip model to study organ-specific radiation injury
NCI Center for Cancer Research shared on LinkedIn:
“NEW FINDINGS: A recent CCR advance demonstrated the potential utility of a human liver-on-a-chip model to study organ-specific radiation injury. The researchers also identified biomarkers that differentiate radiation dose and defined cell-specific targets for potential radiation mitigation therapies.
This finding was led by the late C. Norman Coleman, M.D., who served as a senior investigator in the Radiation Oncology Branch in the Center for Cancer Research and as the associate director of the Radiation Research Program in the NCI Division of Cancer Treatment and Diagnosis.”
