Pan-Mass Challenge raises $75 million for Dana-Farber’s fight against cancer
The Jimmy Fund shared a post on LinkedIn:
”This past weekend, Pan-Mass Challenge riders, volunteers, sponsors, and donors came together with the goal of raising at least $75 million for Dana-Farber, bringing us closer by the mile to defying cancer. Since 1980, the PMC has given more than $1 billion to support cancer research and treatment.
Every year, we see how the PMC community continues to make a life-changing difference in the way the world treats cancer through the events of PMC Ride Weekend. The dedication of the PMC riders, volunteers, sponsors, and donors makes the lifesaving cancer care and research provided by Dana-Farber possible to patients in Boston and around the world.
The PMC is co-presented by Red Sox Foundation and M and T Bank.”

Thousands gather each summer for the Pan-Mass Challenge (PMC), a bike-a-thon across Massachusetts on the first weekend in August, to raise funds for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. The PMC provides support such as fundraising tools, meals, medical assistance, and transportation, enabling participants to focus on funding cancer research.
Participants commit to a fundraising mission first and a bike ride second, with route options from 25 to 211 miles over one or two days. The PMC offers a way to take action against cancer, celebrating life and remembering those lost.
