The award recognizes women leaders at nonprofit organizations or for-profit companies who are leaving a mark on Greater Philadelphia. Dr. Foti and her fellow honorees will be celebrated at a special event in Philadelphia on October 10.”

Margaret Foti is the Chief Executive Officer of the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR). Starting her career at AACR as an editorial staff member for the journal Cancer Research, she advanced through various editorial and management positions.
Under her leadership, the AACR launched nine major peer-reviewed journals, including Cancer Discovery and Cancer Immunology Research. Her focused and visionary leadership drives the AACR’s mission to advance cancer research and work towards the prevention and cure of cancer.
