ASCO (American Society of Clinical Oncology) shared a post on LinkedIn:
”Applications are open for the 2025 International Development and Education Award (IDEA), which pairs award recipients with an ASCO mentor, enables them to attend the ASCO Annual Meeting and visit a mentor’s institution, and fosters long-term relationships to improve cancer care around the globe. Recipients must be ASCO members, early in their careers, and from low- and middle-income countries.
‘The IDEA program, for me, was really impactful due to the wonderful mentorship provided,’ said 2022 IDEA-PC recipient Krithika Rao, an assistant professor in the Department of Palliative Medicine and Supportive Care at Kasturba Medical College, Manipal in India. ‘It just gave me a sense of belonging of part of a huge community of cancer specialists and palliative care professionals.’
