Robin Zon: An outstanding professional development opportunity for ASCO members
Robin Zon shared on LinkedIn:
“I would like to call attention to an outstanding professional development opportunity for ASCO members—the ASCO leadership development program (LDP)!
LDP participants will learn valuable leadership skills, gain exposure to the roles and mission of ASCO, and learn about the Society’s place in developing the future of cancer care.
Members of all oncology specialties are strongly encouraged to apply and must have completed their subspecialty training between 2015 and 2020.
I served as a board liaison mentor and cannot over emphasize the impact this program can have on the career trajectory of our participants.
I would encourage all doctors from various sites, including academic, hospital-based, and community-based physicians to apply. The LDP program is not restricted to just to one site of service physician.
In fact for physicians based in communities who are providing primarily clinical care , there are leadership skills learned that can assist you as the leader of medical staffs/cancer committees, participate in dyad leadership with your local institutions and provide leadership within your own group setting.
Applications are now open for the 2025-26 LDP class and close September 23, 2024. Learn more and apply here.”
