Laura Fernandez Diaz: The amazing work they do in Senegal in support of all cancer patients
Laura Fernandez Diaz, Senior Membership Development Manager at Union for International Cancer Control (UICC), made the following post on LinkedIn:
“During my trip to Dakar, Senegal, I was honoured to visit the Ligue Sénégalaise contre le Cancer (LISCA). We learned the amazing work they do in Senegal in support of all cancer patients. Supporting the screening of thousands of women every year during Pink October both for breast and cervical cancer and the credibility they have gained amongst the general population and the government of the country is only a testament to the dedication of the staff and volunteers. The visit made a real difference to my trip, and I invite you to learn more about how they are closing the care gap.”
