Katie Coleman: Looks like I’ve got a bladder polyp? lesion? growth? I named it Newman…
Katie Coleman, Founder of Chromophobe and Oncocytic Tumor Alliance (COA), shared on X/Twitter:
“Looks like I’ve got a bladder polyp? lesion? growth?… I don’t know what we’re calling it at this point. I’ve got a bladder thing that’ll be meeting its eviction day sometime in the near future. When we found the massive tumour on my kidney a couple of years ago, I named it Newman. We landed on Newman after asking for suggestions from my husband and my favourite TV shows.
It was a nice distraction and a good laugh. So, while I try to suppress the past trauma this thing is attempting to resurface, let’s play round two and name this thing. My tumour on my right kidney was very large. This thing is pretty tiny in comparison but in a less-than-ideal location.
My left kidney is named Jerry and my liver is named Kramer. Did we just meet George? I mean George did spend a lot of time sleeping in less than ideal locations (under his desk). Let’s hear your best name suggestions from villains in TV shows or if ya think I should keep the Seinfeld theme going instead and go with George.”
