“More than 6,000 people took part in 520 research studies at Sylvester in 2025.
Sylvester brought patients, researchers and community partners together at a clinical trials retreat in September to examine why that number is not higher. Of last year’s participants, more than 800 enrolled in interventional treatment trials, and there were more than 300 accruals to phase 1 and phase 1/2 studies evaluating new therapies.
Partner organizations at the retreat included 305 Pink Pack, BRCAStrong, Gilda’s Club South Florida and Toriabel Aesthetics, convened through Sylvester’s Office of Community Outreach and Engagement.
