Recent Big Wins for Breast Cancer Research at NCCS

National Cancer Centre Singapore (NCCS) shared on LinkedIn:

“The STRIVE programme has launched – dedicated to improving outcomes for patients facing treatment-resistant breast cancer, and bridging the gap between the lab and the clinic to keep research patient-focused.

Congrats to Prof Yoon-Sim Yap on clinching the NMRC Clinician Scientist Award – Investigator! Her research explores how ethnicity influences tumour interactions with the goal of improving patient outcomes. She also spearheaded the Asian subgroup analysis of the INAVO120 phase 3 trial, which demonstrated meaningful efficacy for advanced breast cancer in Asian patients.

A trial led by Prof Rebecca Dent offers a new treatment option for patients with untreated advanced TNBC for whom immunotherapy is not an option. Presented at ESMO 2025 and published in Annals of Oncology, the treatment has since been incorporated into ESMO and NCCN guidelines.

53 top-tier journal publications from Aug 2025 to Jul 2026, and counting!

Thank you to the dedicated team for the work you are doing to improve the lives of breast cancer patients!”
