“Are you an early career kidney cancer researcher? Apply for the American Association for Cancer Research Scholar-In-Training Awards!
Apply by November 10.
These awards offer the next generation of researchers opportunities to participate in scientific meetings and connect with leaders.
The Kidney Cancer Collaborative’s Scholar-In-Training Award in particular will consider proposals focused on general kidney cancer research, pediatric kidney cancer, chromophobe kidney cancer, and renal medullary carcinoma.
We’re proud to support these awards along with our fellows in the Kidney Cancer Collaborative: Chris ‘CJ’ Johnson Foundation, VHL Alliance, KidneyCAN, Joey’s Wings Foundation, Judy Nicholson Kidney Cancer Foundation (JNF), Chromophobe and Oncocytic Tumor Alliance (COA).”
The American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) is one of the leading organizations in cancer research. It brings together scientists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to share findings and discuss the latest developments in cancer prevention, diagnosis, and treatment.
Its Scholar-In-Training Awards are designed to support promising early-career cancer researchers and help them gain experience and recognition within the scientific community.
The program:
- Recognizes young researchers presenting high-quality cancer research.
- Helps recipients attend the AACR Annual Meeting.
- Gives researchers the opportunity to present their findings and receive feedback.
- Allows them to connect with established scientists and potential collaborators.
- Provides financial support for some of the costs associated with attending the meeting, including registration, travel, and accommodation.
The awards help cover part of the recipients’ registration, travel, and accommodation-related expenses. They are not conventional research grants intended to fund laboratory experiments.
