Digestive Cancers Europe shared on LinkedIn:
“Last week, Digestive Cancers Europe (DiCE) was delighted to join the 5th CEE Patient Engagement Annual Forum in Prague, which brought together patient advocates and health stakeholders from across Central and Eastern Europe.
DiCE’s Policy Officer, Filip Karan, took part in the panel
‘Turbulent times: What the changing policy landscape means for patients in CEE’.
Drawing on his current work at DiCE and his previous experience in the European Parliament, Filip shared perspectives on the changing EU health policy landscape and what these developments could mean for patients and patient organizations across the region.
He also reminded participants that patient organizations are political actors in their own right, with a voice, expertise and real power to shape health policy and influence decisions that affect the communities they represent.
Beyond the panel itself, the Forum offered DiCE a valuable opportunity to
- exchange ideas
- hear directly from organizations working across the CEE region
- strengthen connections with the wider patient community.”
