DiCE’s Biomarker Leaders Series Featuring Jakob Kather Within IMPACT-CRC Project

Digestive Cancers Europe (DiCE) shared on LinkedIn:

“Cancer research is generating more data than ever before. How can we turn this information into insights that help guide treatment decisions?

This is one of the questions driving the IMPACT-CRC project. In our Biomarker Leaders series, we’re highlighting the researchers behind the IMPACT-CRC project and their work to improve immunotherapy for people with colorectal cancer.

Biomarkers can provide valuable insights into tumour biology and, ultimately, help guide treatment decisions. By combining biological and clinical data with advanced computational approaches, IMPACT-CRC aims to identify patterns that could help predict treatment response and support more personalised treatment strategies for people with colorectal cancer.

Today, we feature Jakob Nikolas Kather from Universitätsklinikum Heidelberg (UKHD), Germany. He uses artificial intelligence to study cancer and treatment response. Within IMPACT-CRC, Jakob and his team integrate complex biological and clinical data to identify patterns that may help predict which patients are most likely to benefit from immunotherapy.
