Brian O’Conner: Honored to Be Recognized by the Academy of Public Health at AHTS

Brian O’Conner,  Chair at Global Health Connector, shared on LinkedIn:

“I was deeply touched standing in that room in Kigali last week.

Not just by the recognition itself, but by the undeniable energy, drive, and dedication of the people leading the charge.

I had the immense privilege of receiving a medal and being inducted as a Fellow of the The Academy of Public Health at Africa HealthTech Summit (AHTS) – a milestone that follows being named to the Director-General’s Fellows List last year.

I couldn’t be more honored or humbled.

Africa is deeply close to my heart. The brilliance, creativity, and talent across this continent are second to none. If we want to solve global health challenges, we have to look to African innovation and invest in African leaders. Period.

Through Global Health Connector, I am energised to contribute to this collective mission alongside an institution that champions these exact values. My sincere thanks to Dr. Francis Ohanyido and the Academy of Public Health for this incredible honor.

Let’s keep pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.”
