The 8th Episode of the APAC Lung Cancer Consensus Video Series – ASPIRE for Lung Cancer
ASPIRE for Lung Cancer shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Introducing the 8th episode of the APAC Lung Cancer Consensus Video Series
Episode 8 features Mr Sanjeev Sharma, Director of Lung Connect India Foundation, and Ms Vandana Mahajan, Lead Counsellor, who share how Lung Connect has become a cornerstone for patients and families in India, offering access to treatments, emotional support, and a trusted platform to navigate the complexities of lung cancer.
Key messages shared include:
- Patient advocacy is essential for bridging the gap between medical innovation and access to care
- Combating stigma, normalising conversations, and raising awareness for early detection must remain top priorities
- Collaboration across stakeholders is vital to build robust, equitable health systems
- Implementing the APAC Lung Cancer Policy Consensus requires both physician- and patient-level engagement
Lung Connect’s vision is clear – united action and cross-regional collaboration are the keys to giving every lung cancer patient the opportunity to live and thrive.
As ASPIRE looks to further strengthen collaboration with Patient Advocacy Groups (PAGs) across the Asia Pacific, we invite PAGs to join the Consortium as partners, helping to amplify the patient voice and drive meaningful change in lung cancer care together. If your organisation is interested in partnering with us, we’d love to hear from you.”
