Co-organized by Reseau National d’Accompagnement des personnes atteintes de Cancer (National Network for the Support of People Affected by Cancer ) – Senegal and the American Cancer Society, this session will bring together leaders from across Africa to discuss how patient navigation, community engagement, and strategic partnerships can strengthen cancer care pathways and improve patient outcomes.
As part of the program, our Program Manager for Global Patient Support, Andriy Chybisov, will share experiences and lessons learned from the American Cancer Society’s patient navigation and community engagement initiatives across the 15 African countries participating in the BEACON Initiative, highlighting practical approaches to improving access to diagnosis, treatment, and supportive care in resource-constrained settings.
We are looking forward to joining a panel that includes Professor Magaye Gueye, Mariama Camara, and Dr. Koulibaly, who will discuss ongoing efforts to advance patient navigation in Senegal through RENAC-Sénégal, including current priorities, challenges, and opportunities for growth.
The moderated discussion will explore how lessons from existing African patient navigation programs can inform the development of sustainable, patient-centered models in Senegal and other resource-limited settings.
The presentations will be delivered in English and French and live captions will support access and participation of a broad international audience.”
