European Youth Cancer Survivors Learn Best Practices in Milan Visit Supported by EU Funding focusing on AYA

We had a very exciting and full first day of the #EUCAYASNET Peer Visit in Milan 🍕 🇮🇹 where 15 young people from our European Network of Youth Cancer Survivors, hosted by Dr. Andrea Ferrari and local patients from Fondazione IRCCS Istituto Nazionale dei Tumori di Milano learned about the the best practices of AYA care💡, youth projects🎗️, national and international programs, psychosocial support, spirituality and fertility preservation for #AYA with #cancer in Italy.

In the second part of the day, we visited the pediatric department and we talked about the survivorship program📝post-treatment options 💊, peer support and European collaborations. We made friends, took photos of turtles 🐢 and soaked up the lovely sun ☀️
