Silvio Quick: How is Cardio-Oncology Actually Organised in German hospitals?

Silvio Quick, Medical Resident/Fellow in Cardiology at Herzzentrum Dresden, shared on LinkedIn:

“How is cardio-oncology actually organised in German hospitals?

We looked into it – our paper is now out in Clinical Research in Cardiology.
The picture is mixed. A lot works well, but real gaps remain.

In high-risk patients especially, cardiac biomarker monitoring tends to fall away during follow-up – often exactly when it still matters.

The encouraging part: there’s a clear appetite for better tools and clearer structures.

Thanks to the whole team, and to our first author Sebastian Poley in particular.”
