Pablo Berlanga Charriel: New Real-World Data on Larotrectinib in NTRK Fusion-Positive Tumors

Pablo Berlanga Charriel, Pediatric Oncology Consultant at Gustave Roussy, shared on LinkedIn:

“We are delighted to share the publication in the European Journal of Cancer of a new SACHA-France study cohort!

This study provides valuable real-world evidence on the use of larotrectinib in children, adolescents, and young adults with NTRK fusion-positive tumors.

Key findings:

  • Real-world data confirm the clinical benefit of larotrectinib in NTRK fusion-positive cancers.
  •  A 70% overall response rate was observed, with rapid responses and excellent tolerability.
  • These results further support the role of TRK inhibition across a wide spectrum of NTRK fusion-positive malignancies, extending beyond infantile fibrosarcoma.

Heartfelt thanks to all participating centers, investigators, patients, and families whose commitment made this study possible. Special congratulations to Celine Khouri for her perseverance, passion and exceptional work.

We are also deeply grateful to the entire SACHA-France team, to the French Society of Pediatric Oncology (SFCE – cancers pédiatriques) and to the SACHA funders: Imagine for Margo – Children without Cancer, Association Hubert Gouin-Enfance et Cancer, Fondation du Leem and FIGHT KIDS CANCER. Special thanks as well to ANSM Agence nationale de sécurité du médicament et des produits de santé and Haute Autorité de Santé for their continued collaboration and support.”
