“Proton Beam Therapy has been receiving much visibility these days, so this issue in the RedJ American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) is timely edited by Sue Yom, David J. Carlson.
Thank you to Hong Qi Tan and Emma Zhang for their support, and to the Red Journal for the opportunity to share our experience with PBT for NasopharyngealCarcinoma at National Cancer Centre Singapore, where we have treated approximately 250 patients to date.
In this article, we discuss specific clinical scenarios where PBT can be efficacious, as well as situations where caution is warranted. Understanding where PBT offers meaningful benefits, and where its use requires careful consideration, is essential to optimising patient outcomes.”
