“Almost 5 years ago, we started recruiting the first patients into ARTEMIDE01, a first-in-human clinical trial evaluating rilvegostomig, a novel anti-PD-1/TIGIT bispecific antibody, in advanced NSCLC.
Today, seeing the primary results published is both professionally and personally rewarding! What began as an early-phase study has contributed to the development of a drug that is now being evaluated across multiple phase III clinical trials.
So, I am proud to share the publication of the ARTEMIDE-01 phase I/II study in Clinical Cancer Research (AACR Journals).
Parts A+B evaluated rilvegostomig in patients with PD-L1+ advanced or metastatic NSCLC who had previously received immunotherapy.
The trial demonstrated:
- A favorable safety and tolerability profile, with no dose-limiting toxicities observed and no maximum tolerated dose reached.
- Evidence of clinical activity in a heavily pretreated population, including durable disease control in a subset of patients.
Together, the observed efficacy, tolerability, and low rate of treatment discontinuation provided the rationale for continued development of rilvegostomig in the first line setting (parts C+D) and larger studies.
Clinical research is always a team effort, and this publication reflects the dedication of patients, their families, investigators, study coordinators, research nurses, data managers, and many colleagues across participating sites and the sponsor.
