“We are pleased to announce the first clinical trial sponsored by the new AACR Center for Cancer Clinical Trials: AACR-ADOPT-GEA. This phase II trial will test whether biomarker-directed treatment approaches can help patients with gastroesophageal cancer skip surgery and preserve their organs. AACR-ADOPT-GEA enrolled its first patient last month.
Conducted in collaboration with Jazz Pharmaceuticals, BeOne Medicines, Astellas Pharma, Natera, and Roche Diagnostics USA, AACR-ADOPT-GEA represents an extraordinary partnership and a new chapter for AACR in which the organization will harness the expertise of its more than 65,000 members to apply basic science discoveries to innovative clinical strategies.
