“Every advance in Supportive Cancer Care began with someone saying ‘yes‘ to research.
Whether it’s reducing treatment side effects, improving quality of life, or helping people live well beyond cancer, none of it happens without clinical research – and none of it is possible without the people who choose to take part.
At the Supportive Oncology Research Group (SORG), we have the privilege of working alongside people affected by cancer who generously contribute their time, experiences and trust to our research.
From studies exploring the microbiome to improve treatment tolerance, to trials testing new approaches to preventing neuropathy, mucositis and radiation injury, every question we ask is driven by one goal: making cancer treatment safer and more tolerable for the next person.
Richard Scolyer’s words remain a powerful reminder:
‘To all cancer patients, I encourage you to consider enrolling in research and clinical trials if on offer.’
