Esraa Redwan: Presenting KARS1 and ACAT2 as Prognostic Biomarkers in Invasive Breast Cancer at EACR Cancer Metabolism 2026

Esraa Redwan, Medical Laboratoey Sciences Lecturer at Fakeeh College for Medical Sciences, shared on LinkedIn:

“I was pleased to have the opportunity to present part of my PhD research this week at the EACR Cancer Metabolism 2026 Conference in Bilbao, Spain, with my poster: ‘KARS1 and ACAT2 as Warburg Effect-Associated Prognostic Biomarkers in Invasive Breast Cancer.’

It was a memorable few days of science, conversations, and new perspectives with a rewarding experience and an important milestone in my PhD journey.

What I valued most were the conversations around the work: the questions, different perspectives, and discussions with researchers across cancer metabolism field. The scientific sessions also broadened my view of the field and gave me new ideas to carry forward in my PhD.

I’m very grateful to my supervisors, Dr. Sultan N. Sonbul and Prof. Ayat Al-Ghafari, for their guidance and continuous support throughout this project.

Thank you to the European Association for Cancer Research (EACR) for creating such an engaging and welcoming scientific conference in Bilbao.”
