Darcy Burbage, Oncology Clinical Nurse Specialist, shared on X:
“Excited to highlight two ASCOQLTY26 survivorship studies led by Niharika Dixit and colleagues!
Abstract 721: ASCO‘s Assessment for Survivors of Cancer (ASC) tool demonstrated feasibility across 10 diverse clinical practices with 76% completion rate!
Abstract 438: Among 1,796 cancer survivors, common concerns included insufficient physical activity (45%), fatigue (39%), weight changes (38%), sleep difficulties (37%), and neuropathy symptoms (35%).
The connection? One study demonstrates HOW we can identify unmet needs among survivors while the other highlights WHAT survivors are experiencing!
Identifying needs is the first step. Connecting individuals living w/and beyond cancer with appropriate care and resources is where we make a difference! “
