“ESMO Congress 2026 in Madrid has just come to an end!
An exciting congress showcasing promising advances in head and neck oncology, from novel immunotherapy combinations and antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) to ctDNA-based biomarkers, neoadjuvant strategies, and quality-of-life outcomes.
Here are some of the key highlights in head and neck cancer, including results from KEYNOTE-412, OrigAMI-4, TAISHAN-301, HEXAGON-HN, and other relevant studies.
While several findings are encouraging, further validation and mature survival data remain essential to translate these advances into clinical practice.
The ultimate goal remains the same: more effective, personalized treatments that improve both survival and quality of life for our patients.”
