Arpita Desai, Medical Director of GU Medical Oncology, Associate Professor at UC San Francisco, shared on X:
“Nicholas Salgia (Roswell Park) on SBRT and mediators of humoral immune activity in metastatic RCC at KCRS26:
- NCT01892930, ±15 Gy SBRT before nephrectomy, tumor sampled at 4 weeks
- Bulk RNAseq, 8 control vs 8 SBRT: higher xCell B cell score (p=8.6e-4) and class-switched memory B cell score (p=0.013) after SBRT
- IGH clonotype count was not significantly different (p=0.161)
- Gene set enrichment showed humoral programs higher in SBRT samples, including immunoglobulin production, B cell-mediated immunity, BCR signaling, and CD22-mediated BCR regulation.”
