Annalice Gandini: IMMUNODIG Cohort Investigates Biomarkers of Immunotherapy Response in dMMR/MSI Metastatic Colorectal Cancer

Annalice Gandini, Doctoral Researcher Centre de Recherche des Cordeliers shared on LinkedIn:

“Happy to present at ESMO 2026 our retrospective analysis on the multicentric IMMUNODIG cohort evaluating MMR protein-loss patterns as potential biomarkers for immunotherapy intensification in dMMR/MSI metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC).

Our conclusions:

  • Lynch Syndrome (LS) was associated with better IO outcomes, largely explained by baseline characteristics.
  • MMR-protein loss pattern (MMR-plp) identify biologically heterogeneous subgroups of dMMR/MSI mCRC beyond LS/sporadic status.
  • Exploratory data suggest that in isolated PMS2 or MSH6 loss the benefit from the doublet-IO may be limited.
  • MMR-plp, available from routine IHC, deserves further validation as a tool to guide IO intensification.

A huge thanks to all the coauthors and my research team!”
