Airazat Kazaryan: Evaluation of the white test effectiveness for the prevention of bile leakage after liver resection
Airazat Kazaryan, Consultant surgeon at Østfold Hospital, shared a post on Facebook:
“Our last publication published in “Updates in Surgery”
It concludes in a randomised controlled trial that the White test cannot be recommended for the prevention of bile leakage after liver resection.
It is important to publish negative results (although it is a bit sad to do and much more difficult to publish), so others avoid to use techniques that have not received a proof of efficiency.”
