Ahmet Dirican, Professor of Medical Oncology at Medicana International İzmir Hospital, shared on X:
“Valuable data showing that CGP is becoming indispensable in cancers of unknown primary: the Phase II CUPISCO Study.
The most striking finding was the 38% reduction in the risk of progression in patients with an actionable molecular target.
My question is: In patients without an actionable target on CGP, would the results have been different if tumor origin had been determined and chemotherapy selected accordingly? In patients with actionable molecular targets:
‘PFS: 8.2 vs 5.5 months; HR 0.62 ‘ OS: 17.8 vs 14.5 months; HR 0.75”
