“If quitting smoking gave you back 10 yrs, would you believe it?
Study with 1.48M people:
- +5.5 yrs if quitting <3 yrs ago, +9.9 if ≥10 yrs.
- Before 40 = 95% less smoking related deaths.
- Risk: ×7.6 (lungs), ×3.1 (heart), ×3.1 (cancer).
