Armenian Delegation Presents at Eastern Mediterranean Pediatric Oncology Conference
Association of Oncology, Hematology, and Palliative Care Nurses shared a post on Facebook:
“Happy Nurses’ Day!
By emphasizing the irreplaceable role of the nurse, it is essential to create opportunities for continuous education, professional development, self-awareness, and the exploration of a boundless world—because we never know where or when a patient might need a nurse’s help.
From April 30 to May 3 in Amman, Jordan, a group representing Armenia participated in the 4th Scientific Conference of the Eastern Mediterranean Group of Pediatric Oncology. Among the participants were seven nurses, four of whom presented their research projects.
The presentation topics included:
Possible routes of contamination of samples during blood collection for bacteriological examination in pediatric patients and their prevention (Marine Azaryan)
The Role of Nursing in Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplant Care: A Critical Component of Patient Recovery and Support (Taguhi Hovhannisyan)
Possible routes of contamination of samples during blood collection for bacteriological examination in pediatric patients and their prevention (Maria Aleksandrova)
A Pediatric Case of Relapsed ALL: Severe aGVHD and Viral Infections Post-Haploidentical Transplantation (Vera Mkhitaryan)
The participants engaged in discussions both on their presentations and on the nursing profession in general.”
