Our training system has vestiges of a medieval guild we enter as apprentices to learn our craft.
But seeing the unbridled joy of realized ambitions will never get old and, in fact, can revitalizing remind us all why we entered the field in the first place.
Hearty congrats to everyone who matched (and to those who didn’t this year, never ever give up on yourself — dreams don’t have deadlines).”

Lewis is the Director of Gastrointestinal Oncology at Intermountain Healthcare in Utah, the Co-Chair of adolescent & young adult (AYA) oncology in the SWOG cooperative group, and the Vice President of American Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia Support.
