Celebrating the Launch of Australia’s National Lung Cancer Screening Program – AstraZeneca
AstraZeneca shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Celebrating the Launch of Australia’s National Lung Cancer Screening Program.
The commemorative launch of the National Lung Cancer Program was held in Canberra this week. It was a great opportunity to celebrate over six years of advocacy and collaborative efforts by the Australian lung cancer community, that led to Australia’s first new screening program in nearly 20 years.
Hosted by the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing, AstraZeneca was pleased to attend this event that brought together patients, advocates, clinicians, and government to mark this significant milestone.
Through biennial screening, the National Lung Cancer Screening Program aims to detect lung cancer earlier and is expected to save hundreds of lives from lung cancer each year.”
