Kristopher Lamore: Day 3 at the 56th SIOP Congress in Honolulu – Insights from Psycho-Oncology

Kristopher Lamore, Psychology researcher at the Université de Lille, shared on LinkedIn:

Day 3 at the 56th SIOP Congress in HonoluluInsights from Psycho-Oncology.

As we wrap up the third day of the International Society of Pediatric Oncology (SIOP) Congress, I’m excited to share some highlights from today’s psycho-oncology session. This congress continues to be an incredible platform for knowledge exchange and collaboration in pediatric oncology.

Today’s session featured three outstanding interventional studies presented by talented researchers: Lamoa Baraket, Lucia Fuentes and Louisa Rygh, Samantha Bento, and Bobbie Riley.

I want to extend my heartfelt congratulations to these presenters for their invaluable contributions to the field. Their work reminds us of the critical importance of psycho-oncology in holistic cancer care.

Reflecting on these presentations, 𝗜 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝗮 𝗰𝗿𝘂𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵: 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗳𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗴𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻. It’s essential to thoroughly explain:
1. The theoretical foundations underpinning the intervention
2. The specific components of the intervention
3. The model used for both constructing and evaluating the intervention

By providing this comprehensive context, researchers not only enhance the credibility of their work but also facilitate better understanding and potential replication of successful interventions.

As we continue to advance in the field of pediatric oncology, let’s remember that robust methodology in psycho-oncological interventions is key to improving patient outcomes and quality of life.

Looking forward to the final day of SIOP 2024 tomorrow and the wealth of knowledge yet to be shared!”
