Heghine Khachatryan: OncoCorridor Aims to Protect Continuity of Cancer Care During War

Heghine Khachatryan, Co-Founder and Chief Editor of Hemostasis Today, MD at Yeolyan Hematology and Oncology Center, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Yesterday I had the privilege of attending the remarkable ‘OncoCorridor‘ initiative in Geneva by Dr Tamamyan – a platform that brought together some of the world’s most influential oncologists, humanitarian leaders, and global health advocates around one powerful idea: when war, crisis, and inequality close doors for patients, medicine must open corridors of hope.

I was deeply impressed not only by the vision of the initiative, but by the humanity behind it. The discussions were emotional, honest, and profoundly impactful – centered on how the international medical community can protect continuity of cancer care during war, displacement, and humanitarian crises.

Hearing globally respected oncology leaders speak about responsibility, solidarity, and access to treatment reminded us that healthcare is not only science – it is also dignity, ethics, and human connection.

In a world increasingly affected by conflict and inequality, initiatives such as OncoCorridor demonstrate that international collaboration can become a true lifeline for patients whose treatment pathways are interrupted by crisis.

I am sincerely grateful for the opportunity to witness such meaningful dialogue and to meet inspiring professionals dedicated to ensuring that no patient is left behind.”
