”It is a great pleasure to share the 4th edition of CIPOG – Introduction to the Principles of Geriatric Oncology.
This edition is held under the scientific auspices of SIOG – International Society of Geriatric Oncology, an endorsement that reinforces the scientific quality and relevance of the programme.
As Coordinator of the GTOG since 2020 and SIOG National Representative for Portugal, it is particularly rewarding to see geriatric oncology becoming increasingly integrated into clinical practice across Portugal.
This progress is only possible through a collective effort. A special thank you to all GTOG members, the Portuguese Society of Oncology, our collaborating members, the scientific societies` involved, and all the partners who continue to support this project.
CIPOG 2026 will include an online component in September, followed by an in-person module on 2–3 October in Coimbra.
