Zainab Shinkafi-Bagudu: HPV vaccine will help us eliminate cervical cancer
Zainab Shinkafi-Bagudu shared the following on LinkedIn:
“Earlier this year, I was privileged to be interviewed by Anuradha Gupta, President of Global Immunization Sabin Vaccine Institute on their GettingToZero podcast.
HPV vaccine is one of 3 pillars that will help us eliminate cervical cancer. When I attended the launch of the Global HPV Consortium, a year ago in Malaysia, Nigerian girls did not have access to HPV vaccine. Thanks to unrelenting advocacy, political will, strong partnerships, and crossing the Ts by the coordinating Minister of Health, Muhammad Ali Pate, 13 million girls have been vaccinated and have a chance of living a life, free of cervical cancer.
Thank you for taking the lead with the Global HPV Consortium.”
