Dr. Rob Pieters is a globally recognized pediatric oncologist and the current President of the International Society of Paediatric Oncology (SIOP). He serves as Chief Maxima International, Executive Committee at the Princess Máxima Center for Pediatric Oncology in the Netherlands, one of the world’s leading centers dedicated exclusively to childhood cancer.
With a career spanning decades, Dr. Pieters is best known for his groundbreaking work in acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), where he has led the development of risk-stratified treatment protocols that have dramatically improved survival rates. He has also played a key role in the Dutch Childhood Oncology Group (DCOG).
He is the Editor-in-chief of European Journal of Cancer Pediatric Oncology
