Nita Radhakrishnan, MD, DNB, is a pediatric hematologist-oncologist with over two decades of clinical experience and a leading specialist in the management of childhood hematologic disorders, bleeding and clotting disorders, thalassemia, and pediatric leukemias. She currently serves as Additional Professor and Head of the Department of Pediatric Hematology-Oncology at the Post Graduate Institute of Child Health (PGICH), Noida, where she leads clinical services, academic programs, and research initiatives in pediatric hematology-oncology.
Dr. Radhakrishnan began her medical training at Trivandrum Medical College, earning her MBBS degree, followed by a D.C.H. in Pediatrics from Bangalore Medical College and an MD in Pediatrics from T.D. Medical College under the University of Kerala. She completed her advanced specialty training through the Fellowship National Board in Pediatric Hematology-Oncology at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi, where she also served as a Fellow and later as a Consultant in the Pediatric Hematology-Oncology Unit.
She further refined her expertise with an international Fellowship in Hemostasis and Thrombosis at the IRCCS Ca’ Granda Foundation Maggiore Policlinico Hospital, University of Milan, Italy—strengthening her specialization in complex bleeding disorders and thrombosis in children.
Before joining PGICH, Dr. Radhakrishnan held key roles across several prestigious institutions, including serving as a Consultant in Pediatric Hematology-Oncology at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital and as a CSIR Senior Research Associate in the Department of Hematology at AIIMS, New Delhi. Her academic progression at PGICH includes positions as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and currently Additional Professor and Head, reflecting her continued leadership in clinical care, education, and research.
A dedicated academician, Dr. Radhakrishnan has authored and co-authored numerous publications in national and international journals, as well as textbook chapters across pediatric hematology and oncology. Her work is highly regarded for its clinical depth, practical relevance, and contributions to improving outcomes for children with hematologic cancers and chronic blood disorders. She is known for her compassionate approach to patient care, her commitment to training young pediatric oncologists, and her active involvement in developing clinical protocols in her field.
