Dr. Giuseppe Caruso is a medical doctor specialized in Obstetrics and Gynecology, currently working as a consultant physician in the Division of Gynecologic Oncology (Gynecologic Cancer Medical Treatments), IEO, European Institute of Oncology IRCCS, Milan (Italy), under the leadership of Professor Nicoletta Colombo. He holds a PhD in “Network Oncology and Precision Medicine” from the Department of Experimental Medicine, Sapienza University of Rome (Italy). During 2023-2024, Dr. Caruso carried out a one-year clinical research fellowhip in the Division of Gynecologic Oncology, Mayo Clinic in Rochester (Minnesota, USA), under the mentorship of Professor William Cliby, and he continues to contribute as a research collaborator at the Mayo Clinic. In 2025, he began a second residency training in Medical Oncology at the Department of Oncology and Hematology Oncology, University of Milan (Italy).
His main areas of interest include gynecologic oncology, precision oncology, and clinical research. Dr. Caruso demonstrates exceptional time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills, along with a collaborative and solution-oriented approach to his work. His strong communication and interpersonal abilities have been honed through extensive medical training and experience in providing sensitive care to patients, families, and caregivers. Additionally, his international volunteer work with vulnerable populations, including
fragile patients, impoverished families, and orphanages, has further developed his adaptability and capacity for compassionate care.
