Kim Nichols Shares New Guideline on Genetic Testing for Childhood Cancer Survivors

Kim Nichols, St. Jude Division of Cancer Predisposition Director and Department of Oncology Member, shared on LinkedIn:

“I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to collaborate with an incredible group of colleagues on our recent publication in The Lancet Oncology, ‘Development of the Children’s Oncology Group long-term follow-up guideline for cancer genetics evaluation in childhood cancer survivors.’

This work focuses on helping healthcare providers better identify childhood cancer survivors who may benefit from genetic counseling and testing, with the goal of improving long-term care and outcomes by identifying potential hereditary cancer risks.

As a team, we are hopeful that this work will help support more personalized care for childhood cancer survivors and their families.”
